Two Swiss Fintechs Revolutionize Payment Systems
Paying with cryptocurrency will soon be as seamless as using a traditional credit card or Twint. Switzerland-based Wallee Group and Ammer Group announced on Monday the development of an app that transforms conventional payment terminals into acceptance points for cryptocurrencies.
The payment process is as straightforward as using a credit card or making a QR code payment. Neither merchants nor customers incur additional settlement overhead when completing a transaction.
«With our payment solution, cryptocurrency shifts from being a speculative asset to a real means of payment—right at the point of sale and as simple as a card payment,» says Sascha Krüsi, CXO & Co-Founder of Wallee Group.
«This is a significant milestone in the acceptance of cryptocurrencies as a payment method in Switzerland,» emphasizes Victor Ammer, Founder & Chairman of Ammer Group.
Ammer Pay for Wallee Terminals
Merchants can download the Ammer Pay app directly onto their Wallee payment terminals, enhancing functionality and customer service. All they need is a free Ammer Pay account, which includes a cryptocurrency acceptance agreement. The app can be uploaded to the terminal via the Wallee portal and is ready to use in just a few steps.
Once activated on the merchant’s Wallee terminal, customers can check out using their preferred cryptocurrency—Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), or Tether (USDT).
