The new model blends minimalist design with cosmic themes, creating a timepiece that departs from traditional watchmaking aesthetics.

This version of the Octo Finissimo, designed by Bvlgari’s Executive Director of Watch Design Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, uses a midnight-blue palette from the titanium bracelet to the brass dial, both coated with a matte PVD treatment.

«Almost magical formations»

At the dial’s center is a screen-printed cloud with iridescent hues, intended to evoke natural light phenomena. French artist Laurent Grasso, known for exploring science and the intangible in his work, says the cloud symbolizes «unique and almost magical formations» that blur the line between reality and illusion.

Grasso’s involvement marks a continuation of his interest in celestial themes, often portrayed through video, sculpture, and installation art. His signature appears on the back of the watch, acknowledging his artistic input in the design. The watch hands hover over the dial, adding a subtle element of ambiguity that is a hallmark of Grasso’s art.

Limited to 200 pieces

This limited release, restricted to 200 pieces, reflects Bvlgari’s ongoing exploration of design innovation and artistic collaboration. Each watch is presented in a matching blue case, marked with the signatures of Grasso and Bvlgari.

The Octo Finissimo line, first introduced in 2014, has become a core part of Bvlgari’s offerings. Its eight-sided case design draws from architectural elements found in Roman structures like the Basilica of Maxentius. Over the years, Bvlgari has refined the model to achieve record-breaking thinness, aligning the design with the brand’s commitment to technical precision.
