Lombard Odier Appoints New Head of Zurich UK Desk
Chris Bonello has been appointed as the new head of the UK and Northern Europe desk at Lombard Odier’s Zurich office. He succeeds Fabian Rauber, who left the company earlier this summer.
Bonello will assume his new role on October 1, 2024, and will report directly to Duncan MacIntyre, Limited Partner and Head of the UK Region at Lombard Odier Private Bank.
In his new role, Bonello will support the Zurich team in «maintaining its strong growth trajectory and continuing to focus on the UK and Northern European markets, as the group further expands its presence in these regions,» according to an internal memo.
From UBS to Lombard Odier
Bonello began his career as a trader at the Sydney Futures Exchange and later held various leadership positions at UBS in both the investment bank and Global Wealth Management divisions. Most recently, he served as Head of the UK & Nordics International UHNW desk, markets he will continue to cover in his new role at Lombard Odier.
«Chris Bonello brings extensive international experience and a proven track record of driving growth in diverse environments, for both institutional and private clients,» commented his supervisor, MacIntyre.
