Robeco Aims to Strengthen Its Position in Switzerland
Robeco Switzerland has appointed Carolin Hefele as Head of Sales & Marketing for Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Hefele has been with the sustainability-focused asset manager since 2021. According to Monday's announcement, two additional hires have been made in the sales department.
Christophe Sohn will join Robeco’s Geneva office as Senior Sales Manager. Over the past decade, Sohn worked for GAM Investments, where he was responsible for investor relations in Western Switzerland. He began his career at Crédit Agricole and BNP Paribas, specializing in the sale of fixed-income securities and equity derivatives before transitioning to fund distribution.
New Hires for Zurich and Geneva
The Zurich office is also expanding its team with the addition of Claudio Carcò, who joins the wholesale team as Senior Sales Manager for Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
According to the announcement, Carcò brings over 18 years of experience in sales and relationship management. His previous roles include positions at Crypto Finance (Asset Management) and fund distribution roles at firms such as State Street Global Advisors, Swisscanto Asset Management, and T. Rowe Price. Like Sohn, Carcò also began his career in banking at UBS.
Marcello Matranga, Head of Italy & DACH at Robeco, commented on the hires: “With the high concentration of private banks, family offices, and large institutional investors, Switzerland remains one of Robeco’s most important markets globally. We are fully committed to strengthening our position in this market.”
Robeco has been operating in Switzerland since 1972 and employs nearly 100 people. The asset manager is considered a pioneer in sustainable investing. In 2006, it acquired Sustainable Asset Management (SAM), with which it had already established a close working relationship.
