Zurich-Based Venture Capital Firm Expands

Zurich, Berlin, San Francisco, and now London: Redalpine is expanding its footprint in Europe. The venture capital investor announced this development on Tuesday.

Redalpine specializes in funding promising companies in the fields of AI, software, biotech, food technology, and fintech—so-called game changers. The firm was established in Zurich in 2006.

The venture capital firm was among the first to invest in Unicorns such as Taxfix and N26.

UK’s Advances in Deeptech and AI

The decision to open an office in London is no coincidence. Redalpine has already invested in over 10 companies in the United Kingdom, including 9fin, Uncommon, and Hypervision Surgical.

The London office will be led by Sebastian Becker. «Following our expansion into Berlin, establishing a presence in London is the next logical step in our growth story. London and the UK have made very impressive strides in recent years, particularly in deeptech and AI», he said.

Additionally, the venture capital investor announced that its assets under management have surpassed $1 billion—a new record high.
