Sunrise UPC hires an experienced payments industry professional
There is a personnel change at the Swiss telecom company Sunrise UPC. According to an announcement, Thorsten Haeser will take over as the new Chief Business Officer, responsible for Sunrise's B2B business (enterprise customer division), starting on September 1. In his new role, he will also become a member of the executive board.
Haeser replaces Robert Redeleanu, who has taken on a new challenge as Managing Director of Digital Infrastructures within the Liberty Global Group, the owner of Sunrise.
Cashless Payments
According to the company, Haeser's task is to further diversify the business portfolio. This portfolio includes integrated communication and ICT solutions as well as one-stop services in areas such as telecommunications, cloud, and cybersecurity.
The new executive at Sunrise, who brings 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, is no stranger to the Swiss market. In his previous role as a member of the Merchant Service Board at Nets, Haeser was responsible, among other things, for the acquisition and integration of the Swiss business of Concardis, a service provider in the field of cashless payments, which now operates under the name Nexi.
