Swiss Life Acquires Swiss Pioneer in Modular Construction

As a specialist investor in real assets in the real estate and infrastructure sectors, Swiss Life Asset Managers have entered into a binding agreement with private equity firm Paragon Partners for a full takeover of Condecta Ltd., on behalf of one of its infrastructure funds.

The sales price is not communicated.

Pioneer in the Field of Modular Construction

Founded in 1959 and based in Winterthur, Condecta is the Swiss market leader for state-of-the-art modular space solutions, containers, sanitary facilities, construction machinery, and water protection systems, according to a statement released on Thursday.

«The Swiss market for modular space rental solutions has potential… Condecta which is known for the premium Swiss quality of its products, is well-placed to meet the rising demands for such solutions», says Gianfranco Saladino, head value-add infrastructure at Swiss Life.

A Wider Presence

The intention is clear: to expand Condecta’s current presence and product portfolio, both domestically and internationally. Its locations in Switzerland, Germany and Italy will remain unchanged, as will the management team. Equally, all 220 employees will retain their jobs.

«Condecta complements Swiss Life’s extensive real estate and infrastructure business in Switzerland», investment director at Swiss Life, Matthew Dooley comments.

CEO of Condecta, Oliver Annaheim, also expresses his excitement: «With Swiss Life, we have found the perfect new owner to drive our growth and innovation plans even more decisively and to further expand our market leadership in modular space solutions in Switzerland.»
