Daniel S. Weber has been appointed as a new partner at the Barandun law firm, effective August 1, 2024.

Weber brings extensive experience in banking and financial market law (including FinTech), internal and regulatory investigations, and economic criminal law. According to a statement, he assists clients with complex regulatory issues and compliance matters, and represents them in licensing and enforcement proceedings, as well as investigations by domestic and foreign regulatory and criminal authorities.

Weber is recognized by various legal guides as a leading attorney in these fields.

He has spent several years working at internationally oriented law firms, a major bank, and the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) in the Enforcement division. He also serves as Co-Head of the Compliance & Investigations Practice Group of the Zurich Bar Association and is a member of the Expert Commission on Money Laundering for SRO PolyReg.
