iCapital Brings Onboard UBS Veteran with Recent CS Experience

The internationally operating fintech platform iCapital aims to expand its customer base in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. As announced on Tuesday, they have appointed Daniel Imhof as Head of Client Solutions EMEA. Imhof has over 30 years of experience in wealth management.

The «UBS Veteran,» as finews.com called him in 2019, spent 20 years at the Swiss major bank, where he last held the position of Global Head Portfolio Specialists in Wealth Management. He then moved to Schroders in London as Head of Global Sales and in 2019 to Credit Suisse (CS). There, he served as Global Head of Investment Management and was a voting member of the Global Investment Committee, thus co-responsible for CS's house views. Additionally, he chaired the investment committee of the CS pension fund.

Work Location Zurich

He will be based in the Zurich office and report to Marco Bizzozero, Head of International at iCapital. According to the press release, he will particularly focus on banks, wealth management organizations, and independent financial advisors.

His new employer has a global workforce of 1'500 people and describes itself as the global marketplace for alternative investments. The company offers technological solutions to independent financial advisors, wealth managers, and asset managers to integrate alternative investments into their clients' portfolios.

Assets managed on the iCapital platform total $191 billion, of which $30 billion are from clients outside the USA.
