More IT Expertise For Structured Products Market
The Swiss Structured Products Association (SSPA), the Zurich-based industry organization for participants in the structured products market in Switzerland, announced another new member on Tuesday. This addition is not as high-profile as in June when the «Fürstenbank» joined.
The new partner member is Oepfelbaum IT Management. Founded in 2001 and based in Zurich, the consulting firm focuses on expanding and renewing trading and core banking systems, implementing digital sales channels, applying machine learning and data engineering in banking, and integrating internal and external applications into clients' existing systems.
Marcus Post, Head of Trading & Risk at Oepfelbaum IT Management, aims to "bring our technological expertise from the Swiss financial industry into the structured products sector."
SSPA President Georg von Wattenwyl, a veteran in the «structured products» market, hopes that «the expertise gained with the new partner member in digital transformation will significantly enrich our industry.»
The SSPA now has 49 members and claims to «represent the interests of the main market participants, who account for more than 95 percent of the volume of structured products in Switzerland.» The association offers different membership statuses depending on the place in the value chain: issuers, buy-side issuers, buy-side representatives, trading platforms, brokers, and partners.
