Baker McKenzie Appoints New Partner in Switzerland
Baker McKenzie has appointed Valentina Hirsiger as a partner effective July 1. This move strengthens the firm's expertise in dispute resolution, international arbitration, and commercial litigation, according to a Friday announcement.
Hirsiger joined the firm as an associate in 2016 after completing her studies and doctorate at the University of Zurich. She has since been a member of the Arbitration and Litigation Group in Zurich, focusing on national and international disputes in commercial, construction, and corporate law. Additionally, Hirsiger serves as an adjunct judge at the Supreme Court of the Principality of Liechtenstein, as noted on her LinkedIn profile.
As is common practice in many law and consulting firms, decisions to expand the partnership are made mid-year. Globally, Baker McKenzie has promoted a total of 66 lawyers to partners, with women making up 52 percent of the promotions.
