Head of Zurich's Oldest Private Bank Steps Down

Eric Steinhauser resigns from his role as CEO of Rahn+Bodmer and departs from the company. The Zurich-based traditional bank confirmed the information reported by finews.com.

Steinhauser served at the institution for 20 years and assumed the CEO position in April 2019 from Robert Bill. Rahn+Bodmer stated that he now plans to pursue new career opportunities.

Head of Client Advisory Steps in Temporarily

Steinhauser began his banking career at UBS and Vontobel before joining Rahn+Bodmer in 2004, where he led various departments including Financial Services (Research, Portfolio Management, Trading, Taxation, and Estate Planning), eventually rising to the top.

Urs Angst will assume Steinhauser's responsibilities «with immediate effect and until further notice.» Angst previously served as Head of Client Advisory. Founded in 1750, Rahn+Bodmer is the oldest private bank in Zurich.
