Passionate Banker Becomes CEO
Ruth Mojentale, a long-time passionate banker and executive, will take over the leadership of the traditional Ersparniskasse Schaffhausen, as announced in a statement on Friday. Mojentale, who has worked at various banks throughout her career, will assume responsibility for the regionally active bank on July 1, 2024, from Christoph Singer, who has led the company on an interim basis for the past five months.
In her most recent role, Mojentale was part of the extended management team at Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank (BLKB), responsible for product and segment management, marketing, and communication.
More than 20 years of service at Credit Suisse
Before becoming self-employed as an entrepreneur in 2019, she worked for 23 years at Credit Suisse in client advisory roles and held various central management positions and project leadership roles for private and corporate customer product offerings and digitalization initiatives.
Mojentale holds a degree in business economics and an Executive Master’s from the University of St. Gallen, as well as additional banking qualifications. She is currently attending a course to become a board member.
