Fintech Descartes Sets its Sights on Pillar 3b
The fintech company Descartes Finance is expanding its offerings for retirement savings to include Pillar 3b. According to today's press release, a new version of the Descartes app is now in operation, which, in addition to the existing products for vested benefits accounts and Pillar 3a, also covers free pension provision, i.e., Pillar 3b.
Innovations include the low costs and the low entry threshold of 10 francs, as well as the easy convertibility of 3a and vested benefit assets into Descartes Finance's traditional wealth management products: «When dissolving the pension account, they can transfer the capital or part of it to Descartes Invest for free. The money remains invested in the same fund there.»
«Wealth as a Service»
Company founder Adriano Lucatelli, a former manager at UBS Switzerland, is quoted in the press release: «Now that all products are combined in one app, our customers have a holistic overview and can manage their investments much more easily.»
Descartes Finance is also eyeing the B2B market with its innovation. Wealth managers and insurance companies, says Descartes, can now obtain not only «Pension as a Service» but also holistic «Wealth as a Service.»
