Change in the Board of Directors at the St. Gallen Cantonal Bank

Bühler CEO Stefan Scheiber is to be elected as a new member of the Board of Directors of the St. Gallen Cantonal Bank (SGKB) next year. This information was released in a statement by the Cantonal Bank on Wednesday.

Scheiber has been the CEO of the internationally active Swiss technology group Bühler Group in Uzwil since 2016 and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2020. He is also on the Board of Directors of two other industrial companies and is a member of the executive committee of Swissmem.

«An ideal addition»

«With his impressive track record in leading a highly innovative, globally successful technology company and his leadership experience at the Board of Directors level, as well as his combination of global activity and regional anchoring, Stefan Scheiber is an ideal addition to the Board of Directors of the St. Gallen Cantonal Bank,» as SGKB President Roland Ledergerber says in the statement.

Changes in the Board of Directors

Scheiber will be put forth for election to the Board of Directors at the next ordinary General Meeting on April 30, 2025. At the same time, Adrian Rüesch will be stepping down from the Board of Directors due to the statutory age limit. The Board of Directors will thus continue to consist of nine members.
