Comings and Goings at the Alliance of Swiss Wealth Managers

Independent asset managers SSI Wealth Management and Tramondo Investment Partners joined the Alliance of Swiss Wealth Managers (ASWM), with which the larger industry players are affiliated, at the beginning of January, ASWM reported.

The new members join Diamond Capital, Octogone, and Prime Partners, whose membership was recently announced.

Zug and Schwyz Additions

SSI Wealth Management has offices in Baech in the Canton of Schwyz and Balyers, Liechtenstein, and manages 1.7 billion Swiss francs in client assets. SSI was founded in 2010 by former members of the management of Bank Hugo Kahn, which was integrated into Bank Finter in 2009. The founders remain partners in the firm today.

Zug-based Tramondo Investment Partners is the investment arm of a multi-family office group founded over 40 years ago and regulated by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (Finma) as an asset manager of collective investment plans. The company, which was launched in 2007, has been on a brisk growth trajectory in recent years.

Departures

ASWM has also experienced departures among its members. Stanhope Capital in Geneva and Weibel Hess & Partners in Lucerne have left the alliance, bringing the number of represented companies to 40.

New Focus

For this year, ASWM plans an ambitious program of physical and virtual activities to promote the sharing of knowledge and outreach within the industry. In addition, the association has defined various focus areas to be managed by working groups.

Among them are the digitalization of client onboarding, further development of investment know-how through CIO roundtables, and the establishment and maintenance of productive and fair relationships with custodian banks.

The numerous activities are taking place under the aegis of the new president Nicole Curti, who also represents the upcoming generation in the asset management industry. She was elected to the post in March, as finews.com reported.
