Saman Habibian and Manuel Sturm joined the Geneva-based banking group on April 1, together bringing more than 20 years of experience in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.

Habibian was previously the head of the Middle East at Bank Pictet in Zurich, joining in 2019. He had numerous roles at Julius Baer including heading up the GCC International unit, Julius Baer Bahrain CEO, and deputy global head of MEA, among others.

Sturm served as the Middle East and Africa chief of staff at Pictet. Before that, he also worked at Julius Baer where he was responsible for the business management of the emerging markets team.
