Stefan Kern will oversee the asset manager's institutional clients in German-speaking Switzerland, according to a memo seen by finews.com and confirmed by GAM.

Prior to this appointment, Kern worked for AXA Investment Managers Switzerland as a senior institutional sales manager.

GAM’s head of sales for Central Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Daniel Durrer, said the appointment underscored GAM's efforts to grow its institutional business in Switzerland.
