33 Signs a Bank is on Wrong Track
5. Your bank branch looks like this: counter, prospect stand, placards, water dispenser, and maybe a coffee machine. This archaic picture apparently must be so, as clients are still invited to their branches after they have used online channels for their business.
6. Your bank is trying to find a business case for social media. They have however overlooked the fact that Twitter, Facebook and Instagram have long since displaced the conventional communication channels.
7. Your bank forbids social media at the workplace, rather than considering how staff and digital communication channels can be used to boost profits.
8. Your bank places little value on the user friendliness of its intranet and the effectiveness of its internal tools. This even though staff work with them daily.
9. Your bank still believes that e-Banking on a computer and on a smartphone are one and the same thing. They haven’t realized that handy functionality is quite different and that people spend hours on their phones as a means of distraction and entertainment.
