SIX Appoints CS Manager as Chairman
Romeo Lacher has been the chairman of SIX, the Swiss stock exchange operator, since September 2016, when he was appointed on a temporary basis. The board today said it had formally elected Lacher as chairman of the company.
Lacher, 56, is the successor of Alexandre Zeller. Zeller was made chairman of Credit Suisse Switzerland in October.
Set to Leave CS
Lacher has been a member of the SIX board since 2008 and has been working for CS since 1990. The economist last acted as COO of the International Wealth Management unit and was a member of the IWM management committee. In September, he handed over his responsibilities to Marcel Schuler for health reasons.
Lacher will leave CS by the end of February, SIX said in the statement.
