Andrea Schlapbach becomes the operational head (COO) of Zwei Wealth, working alongside CEO Patrick Mueller, who founded the Zurich-based wealth advisor in 2014 together with former UBS chief economist Klaus Wellershoff. Schlapbach will be involved in the strategic development of the wealth office platform, and as a member of the executive board will also be responsible for the expansion of the firm abroad, according to a statement Friday.

Throughout his career, Schlapbach gained experience in a wide range of businesses, from start-ups to large corporations. He was a member of the advisory board of Zwei Wealth for four years before becoming COO. He also worked for the Swiss stock exchange operator SIX and the reinsurer Swiss Re, among others. He also founded the avionics startup Flarm Technology.
