Tobias Kaeser joins Rothschild & Co. wealth management in Zurich as the market head of Swiss Onshore, effective September 1, according to a Linkedin post from Rothschild & Co. 

Kaeser comes to the firm from VP Bank where he was senior advisor for key clients serving Swiss and international ultra-high net worth individuals (UHNWSs), serving in that role from 2012 until August of this year, according to his Linkedin profile. Before that, he was head of new issues at Julius Baer from 1996 until August of 2008.

Kaeser has over thirty years of experience in private banking and is «an important step in the implementation of our strategy to grow the core business in the home market», according to the Linkedin post which added that further steps will follow soon. 

In March, Rothschild & Co. announced Gil Platteau was returning to become the country head for Rothschild & Co asset management Switzerland.
