Credit Suisse Hires in Southeast Asia
Credit Suisse is appointing Robert Huray as vice chairman of its Southeast Asian investment banking and capital markets (IBCM) business as well as head of its global industrials group coverage for the region, according to a memo confirmed by a spokesperson Monday.
Huray, who previously worked for Credit Suisse IBCM in Singapore from 2000 to 2004, joins from RHB Investment Bank where he acted as chief executive officer.
He will report to Rehan Anwer and Kuan-Ern Tan, the co-heads of IBCM for the region, as well as to Sanjeev Chaurasia who is head of global industrials group in APAC.
Growth Sector
Credit Suisse is also hiring Nick Thursby, effective immediately, as head of financial institutions group coverage for Southeast Asia, an area the bank defines as a «growth sector.»
Thursby will be based in Singapore and will report to Michael Tan, head of financial institutions group for APAC.
Thursby gained experience advising clients across banks, insurance companies and fintech entrepreneurs at his previous employer HSBC, where he was a director for financial institutions, the memo said.
