Dutch Aegon is appointing Astrid Jaekel as chief risk officer and management board member effective March 1, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

Jaekel will manage and oversee the company’s risk and actuarial functions. The risk veteran was previously a partner and board member at Oliver Wyman in Zurich, where she advised clients on risk, capital management and strategy.

«(Jaekel is) a seasoned professional with nearly 20 years of track record in the risk domain, and she brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this key leadership position, » Aegon Chief Executive Lard Friese said in the statement.
