Edmond de Rothschild is naming Birgit Haas as its chief of distribution for Swiss asset management, effective from June, it said in an emailed statement on Monday. Haas is a 12-year veteran of Goldman Sachs, where she is currently head of business development in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for exchange-traded funds.

She will also be responsible for business development of institutional clients, multi-family offices, and the wholesale market, Rothschild said. Haas will report toMarie Jacot-Cardoen, also a former Goldman Sachs banker who joined the Swiss firm as its head of asset management distribution globally five months ago.

Edmond de Rotschild's asset management arm is also hiring Rupert Pybus (pictured above) as its head of marketing and products, effective May 1. Pybus, currently brand and marketing chief for Columbia Threadneedle, will report to Christophe Caspar, who oversees asset management as well as join the unit's management.
