Carmine Cammarota: «Being in Zurich is Essential»

Despite all the changes in Swiss banking, the financial center is still important internationally, which is why Prometeia wants to participate in its ongoing development, Carmine Cammarota explains in an interview with finews.tv.

The Bologna-based company supports digitalization in the front office of financial institutions and offers solutions for data analysis in wealth management, with the former Avaloq manager heading the company’s local office in Zurich as a senior manager.

Founded in 1974 as a non-professional organization of the University of Bologna, Prometeia employs around 1,000 professionals and serves more than 200 financial institutions in 20 countries.

Active in Three Areas

The company, which started out as a forecasting and research institute, has gradually expanded its range of services and now offers solutions in the areas of risk management, financial consulting, analysis and data preparation.

According to Cammarota, Prometeia stands out from a crowded field of competitors with its focus on three areas: consulting, software development, namely in risk management, and data analysis, for example for the front office of private banks, asset managers or family offices.

Diverse Clientele

In response to increasing demand, Prometeia recently started offering software applications to match client profiles with their respective ESG criteria requirements, as Cammarota further explains.

The company is thus also targeting pension funds, insurers and other institutional providers.
