Julius Baer Boosts in Hamburg

Julius Baer is hiring Joern Vorderberg and Mirko Pasternak for its Hamburg office, a source familiar with the matter said. The duo are the latest to join from M.M. Warburg and complete a team of former colleagues to defect to the Swiss private bank.

Vorderberg was hired as a team head, while Pasternak is an investment specialist. German boss Heiko Schlag has been recruiting heavily in the Swiss bank's German onshore push. He recently hired Thomas Falk from Citigroup for a top management role in Germany.

A spokeswoman for Julius Baer confirmed the hire of Vorderberg and Pasternak, which was first reported by German trade publication «Private Banking Magazin» (in German).
