8. Nicolas Pictet – Generational Handover

After 28 years as a partner at the bank founded by his ancestors, Nicolas Pictet (pictured above) stepped down in September. The 61-year-old's exit paved the way for «lead» partner of seven to move to Renaud de Planta, an acknowledgment of the fact that Pictet now manages more asset management funds than private banking ones. Equity partner Sebastien Eisinger, previously deputy asset management head, was also anointed into the ranks of Pictet's partners.
