Swiss Finance's Biggest Exits of 2019

3. Gian Rossi – Holding Pattern

Julius Baer's home market was starved for attention when Gian Rossi took over: the unit had endured a series of management changes before the Swiss banker took over three years ago.

New CEO Rickenbacher streamlined Rossi's job into a wider European one held by Yves Robert-Charrue – part of a «do more with less»-attitude beginning in top management, as finews.com reported. Rossi, barely 50, will help the 129-year-old private bank open doors with super-rich clients (another Rickenbacher focus). Rossi, not the type for a symbolic vice-chairman role, is also expected to be increasingly vocal politically.
