Private Bank Hires Finance Boss

The board of Raiffeisen Privatbank Liechtenstein is naming Arzu Tschuetscher-Alanyurt as its new finance chief, the Vaduz-based bank said in a statement (in German). She is to support management under CEO Alexander Putzer and operational chief Georg Stoeckl.

Austrian-born Tschuetscher-Alanyurt has experience in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, including at insurer Liechtenstein Life and Prisma Life, as finance chief. She is currently a director of Telecom Liechtenstein and is on the council of the Zukunft.li, a think-tank and foundation. She is also part of management at the Institute of Financial Services in Lucerne.

Political Connection

In the role, she will work with her husband, Klaus Tschuetscher, who is vice-chairman of the bank's board. Tschuetscher, president of Liechtenstein until 2013, also sits on Swiss Life's board. Tschuetscher-Alanyurt's appointment to the CFO job is pending regulatory approval.

Raiffeisen Privatbank belongs to Hong Kong-based Mason Group, which wants to tackle the European market via Liechtenstein. In turn, the private bank hopes to improve its prospects in Asia, and specifically China.
