Pimco is poaching an UBS banker to the ultra-rich. The hire is a bid by the California-based asset manager to expand its distribution in Zurich.

The asset manager has hired Anne Berner in Zurich as an account manager focusing on Swiss financial firms, Pimco confirmed to finews.com. Berner was with UBS for the past four years, where she was a private banker to the ultra-rich.
She will also sit on Pimco's global wealth management team. Before UBS, she worked for Credit Suisse, where she tended to external asset managers.
