Credit Suisse Shareholder Bulks Up
Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) raised the stake in Credit Suisse to 16.04 percent, up from a previous 15.91 percent, according to a statement by SIX, the Swiss stock exchange operator.
QIA had 5.07 percent of the bank’s registered shares, a number that the fund corrected over the weekend, saying it was 5.21 percent. This would make the Qataris the Swiss bank’s largest shareholder. Other major shareholders are Harris Associates, Blackrock and the Norwegian state fund.
In August 2017, QIA had lowered its stake below 5 percent, the threshold below which it no longer needed to make announcements.
