Aberdeen Standard Investments appointed André Haubensack as head of distribution in Switzerland (release in German). The appointment came in reaction to the merger between Standard Life Aberdeen and Aberdeen Asset Management in Switzerland.

Haubensack previously worked as the head of distribution of Standard Life Investments in Switzerland and now assumes responsibility for the merged business.

In addition to the appointment of Haubensack, Aberdeen Standard Investments also added Julien Boissier to the Geneva-based team and Paola Bissoli and Carolin Hefele in Zurich. In coming weeks, the company will announce two new hires as well, it said.

Haubensack is based in Zurich and reports to Rik Brouwer, the head of distribution Europe. Haubensack is a sales veteran with more than 18 years of experience in the Swiss market.

He also worked as a director at New Star Asset Management and Credit Suisse. In 2014 he joined Standard Life Investments when it bought Ignis Asset Management.
