Reshuffle at Vontobel Investments

Daniel Brueesch will take charge of the investment solutions and products unit of Raiffeisen Switzerland, starting October 1, 2018. A spokesperson for Switzerland’s third-largest bank confirmed the move.

For the past eight years, Brueesch was head investment advisory and head investment office at Vontobel. He is an industry veteran with three decades of banking experience and has held a number of important positions at Vontobel. He also frequently penned articles for finews.asia.

Replacement From Within

Vontobel already appointed Andrea Caldelari as successor for Brueesch. The banker has been part of the wealth management investment advisory team for the past eight years. Antoine Diserens, currently head of research at Notenstein La Roche private bank, will become his deputy. Vontobel recently acquired Notenstein.

The appointment of Brueesch is part of a strategy at Raiffeisen to expand the asset allocation business.
