Wanted: New Raiffeisen CEO

Another possibility is Armin Brun (pictured above), now head of private and corporate clients at the Berner Kantonalbank (BEKB). He is thought to have long harbored ambitions for a CEO post. He only joined the BEKB this year, but would bring the necessary retail bank expertise, is well educated and at 53 years has the perfect age for a CEO mandate.

While an internal solution looks unlikely, the qualities of Urs Gauch (pictured above) shouldn’t be ignored. The long-time Credit Suisse banker, specializing in corporate finance, has worked in the same field at Raiffeisen since 2015, and is untainted by the Vincenz/Gisel affair.
