Jan Schoch's Flynt, Reincarnated

While Schoch needed the banking licence to conduct financial transactions, Altoo’s business model is far simpler. The «wealth ecosystem» will only deliver information to make complex asset structures more transparent and easier to manage.

This will allow Altoo to target a different class of wealthy clients, like who have an affinity with the digital world and don’t wish to leave all their asset management in the hands of private banks. These clients would pay Altoo on the basis of the complexity of their assets, rather than on their size.

SIX, Twint Contacts

In addition to Stalder, the business leadership group comprises Stefan Thiel, who designed the system, as tech chief, and Stefan Weber as development boss. Altoo has secured Søren Mose (pictured below) as chairman. The Dane and former Saxo Bank head, board member of SIX and administrative board head of the payments App Twint enjoys excellent contacts in the Swiss banking sector.

Also on the Altoo administrative board is Fabian Tschan, who will represent the interests of shareholders, and helped finance the Flynt buyout. Tschan is a member of the founder family of the eastern Swiss industry and trading concern SFS.
