Julius Baer to Open Berlin Branch
The Zurich-based private bank is developing a dense network of branches in Germany. Shortly after the announcement of the opening of a branch in Hannover, the company reportedly is mulling a representation in the capital of Berlin.
Christian Liste, head of Bethmann Bank in Berlin, has joined Julius Baer together with a team of colleagues, according to a report by «Private Banking Magazin» (German language). With a team of local bankers in place, how long before the branch is to follow?
Dense Network
Julius Baer hasn’t commented on the move. The company has currently branches operative in Duesseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Kiel, Mannheim, Munich, Stuttgart, Wuerzburg and, starting in the summer, in Hannover.
Heiko Schlag, the bank’s head of Germany knew what he was talking about, when he recently told his audience: «Our growth is accelerating.»
