Indonesia’s crime investigation bureau confiscated the yacht in Bali on Thursday, according to a report by «The Edge», an online newspaper based in Singapore.

The owner of «The Equanimity», Low Taek Jho – known as Jho Low – is better known for his involvement in the 1MDB scandal, where billions of dollars belonging to Malaysia’s state fund were syphoned off.

«The Equanimity» is valued at about $260 million and was constructed by Oceano. It is equipped with a helicopter landing pad and received an award as «Best in Show» at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2014, according to «The Edge».

The seizure by the Indonesian authorities is a major blow for Jho Low, who remains at large.
