UBS Private Bank Hires in Asia

The Swiss bank is appointing Bryan Crawford as head of alternatives distribution and syndication for its private bank globally, in a memorandum seen by finews.com.

Crawford takes up the position with immediate effect.

He will report to Dominic Vail, head of investment product and services distribution management, and he will join the group's management committee.

Crawford will be responsible for distributing private equity, real estate, and sustainable investing. His team includes Tomas Hricko for hedge funds, Boris Maeder for private markets including private equity and real estate, and Karsten Guettler for sustainable investing.

The memo states that Crawford will also lead UBS' syndicate business, which will be responsible for engaging UBS Investment Bank, external distributors and wealthy clients in the distribution of public equity and debt capital markets transactions.
