Bonhote Hires for Swiss-German Market

Bonhote's fund unit said it is hiring Gerard Sanz, a 46-year-old hedge fund expert, to expand the bank's presence in the Swiss-German market.

Sanz has worked in the hedge fund industry for more than 20 years, including for Man Investments as well as founding a now-defunct investment firm, Rialto.

«His broad-based experience and acknowledged expertise will enable us to grow our advisory business, particularly in German-speaking Switzerland,» Bonhote fund unit head Steve Metrallet said in a statement.

Sanz studied political science at the University of Geneva and spent more than 10 years at Man's Swiss unit.
