Former GAM Manager New CEO at Bellevue Unit
Alexander Gerstadt managed GAM Germany for 13 years, before he decided to leave the company at the end of 2015.
The expert in German asset management is now taking over as chief executive officer at StarCapital, a unit of Zurich-based Bellevue Group, the company said last night.
Bellevue in February acquired the fund manager, which is specialized in global bond, equity and mixed funds as well as exchange-traded funds.
Deal Completed
Before his years at GAM, Gerstadt spent seven years on the executive of Julius Baer Germany and six years at Union Investment Institutional, a German asset manager.
Bellevue also said the acquisition had been completed following the approval by BaFin, the German regulator. The company now has assets under management totaling 7.8 billion Swiss francs, increasing by 2.5 billion through the acquisition.
