UBS Lures Top Shot From Rival in Hong Kong
UBS Wealth Management hired Peter So as team leader for Hong Kong region, «Asian Private Banker» (by subscription only) reported Thursday. He enjoys one of the highest profile in the Asian hub – and has «Swiss» experience.
Until August, So was head of private banking in Hong Kong at Credit Suisse, Switzerland's No. 2 bank.
So is taking over from Linda Kwo, who left UBS two months ago and report to Jean-Claude Humair, in charge of the Hong Kong region.

UBS has bold plans in Hong Kong, as finews.ch reported. It wants to take a bigger share of the wealth management market with rich Chinese entrepreneurs. Part of the bid is the opening of new offices in Kowloon.
UBS aims for a team of 60 to 65 in Kowloon, 40 of which will be new hires. The bank named Adeline Chien as head of team at the end of September.
